The Indo-American Heritage Museum (IAHM) is a community-based and inclusive institution, a place where visitors can better understand and experience the rich cultural heritage, fascinating immigrant history and important contemporary developments that shape the lives of millions of Americans of Indian origin.
We are currently located in the heart of Chicago's Indian American commercial district at the Indo-American Center on 6328 N. California Avenue (1/2 block south of Devon Avenue). We have been conducting educational programs and activities since 1994 with the support of community volunteers and in collaboration with leading cultural and educational institutions.
While we expand our space and build our collections, we invite you to visit our virtual museum and explore the many-sided Indian American experience.
IAHM’s programs showcase Indian American talent in all fields of endeavor, including dance, music, film, theater, photography, science and literature.
As a core member of the Chicago Cultural Alliance, IAHM's activities this summer include programs that promote inter-ethnic, inter-generational understanding and explore traditional eco-friendly practice. To learn more on how to participate, visit IAHM Programs
Plan an exciting experience for your group on Chicago’s famous Devon Avenue.
